What We Do
Propane Services We Provide
Complete propane plumbing — from tank connections to every appliance in the system.
Propane Line Installation
We run new propane distribution lines from the tank to any point of use — kitchen range, water heater, generator, outdoor grill, or fire pit. All lines are pressure tested before use. See also our natural gas line services.
Propane Leak Detection & Repair
Propane smells like rotten eggs (the odorant is intentional). If you detect that smell, leave immediately and call us. We locate and repair propane leaks with proper pressure testing to confirm the fix.
Tank Connection & Regulator Service
First-stage and second-stage regulators control propane pressure from the tank. Failing regulators cause pressure fluctuations that affect appliance performance. We service and replace regulators as needed.
Appliance Hookups
New propane range, dryer, outdoor kitchen, generator, or tankless water heater? We make the final connection, check for leaks, and test each appliance before leaving.
Whole-Property Propane Systems
For properties that run multiple appliances on propane, we design and install distribution manifolds, branch lines, and shut-off valves for safe, organized fuel distribution throughout the property.
Emergency Propane Response
Propane emergencies are handled the same way as natural gas emergencies — with immediate priority. Our 24/7 emergency line covers propane situations at any hour.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What should I do if I smell propane?
Leave the property immediately without using any switches, phones, or creating any sparks. Once you're outside and at a safe distance, call us at 808-847-5414 and call your propane supplier. Do not re-enter the property until the source has been identified and repaired by a licensed technician.
What's the difference between natural gas and propane plumbing?
Natural gas arrives via underground utility lines at low pressure. Propane is stored in tanks on your property and delivered at higher pressure, regulated in two stages (at the tank and at the appliance). The orifices, regulators, and sometimes fittings are different between the two systems. Our licensed plumbers are trained on both. See also: natural gas services.
Can I run a whole-house generator on propane?
Yes. We install propane supply lines sized for generator demand — typically larger diameter pipe and higher-capacity regulators than standard household appliance lines. We also install automatic shut-offs for safety. Generator hookups require permits.
How do I know if my propane regulator needs replacing?
Signs of a failing regulator include inconsistent flame on burners, appliances that don't reach full output, pilot lights that keep going out, or a rushing/hissing sound near the regulator. If you notice any of these, we can test your regulator and replace it if needed.
Do propane line jobs require permits?
Yes. New propane line installations and significant modifications require a permit from the City & County of Honolulu. We handle the permit process and city inspections for all gas line work, including propane.
