What We Do
Garbage Disposal Services
From a quick unjam to a full replacement — we handle every disposal issue.
Disposal Repair
Humming, jammed, leaking, or not draining properly — we diagnose and repair all common garbage disposal problems on site, usually in under an hour.
Disposal Replacement
Disposals typically last 8–12 years. When repair isn't cost-effective, we remove the old unit and install a new one — including all plumbing connections and electrical hookup.
New Disposal Installation
No disposal yet? We handle the full installation including drain connection, mounting assembly, and electrical switch hookup. We'll recommend the right size for your household.
Drain Line Clearing
Disposal problems often cause or accompany kitchen drain clogs. We clear drain lines and flush the P-trap during disposal service to ensure everything flows properly.
Leak Repair
Disposal leaks from the bottom indicate internal seal failure. Leaks from the top mean the sink flange has failed. We identify the source and repair it correctly.
Reset & Unjam
Sometimes a disposal just needs a reset button press or a manual unjam with the hex wrench. We diagnose quickly so you're not paying for a full repair when a simple fix will do.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is my garbage disposal humming but not working?
A humming disposal means the motor has power but the grinding plate is jammed — usually from a hard item like a bone, pit, or utensil that got in. First, turn it off at the switch. Look for the red reset button on the bottom of the unit and press it. If it still hums, the jam needs to be manually cleared. Call us if you're not comfortable doing it yourself.
How long does a garbage disposal last?
With normal use, most residential garbage disposals last 8–12 years. Using it with hard foods (bones, fruit pits, shells), overloading it, or running it without water shortens the lifespan. If yours is past 10 years and having problems, replacement is usually the smarter investment.
Can I use my garbage disposal if I have a septic system?
We recommend caution. Food waste increases the solid load in your septic tank, requiring more frequent pumping — sometimes every 1–2 years instead of 3–5. If you have a septic system, minimize disposal use and schedule more frequent pump-outs.
Do you carry replacement units on your truck?
We carry common residential disposal models and can often replace a failed unit on the same visit. For specific brand or high-end models, we may need to order the unit and schedule a return trip — typically 1–2 days.
What should I never put in a garbage disposal?
Avoid: bones, fruit pits, shells (egg, oyster, crab), fibrous foods (celery, artichokes, corn husks), grease or cooking oil, coffee grounds in large amounts, and non-food items. These damage the motor or blades and contribute to drain clogs.
